Goals.

Well, I’m about to graduate from college.  That’s a pretty generic statement.  What are my goals, you ask?  I’ll have you know, my thoughts of what the future will hold have changed a lot recently.

I first wanted to start up a company before graduating, so I would not ever have to work for anyone but myself.  I’ll tell you what – my ideas have changed.  DAYUM!  My new ambitions are as follows:

I want to work for someone.  Yeah, boo, whatever.  Not forever, though.  I’ve realized though, that I need to have structured development before I go off and try to do it all on my own.  I’m learning so much, teaching myself programming at SwRI, that I know it’s necessary.  I need to keep up this structure, and see how projects are handled on a professional level before I attempt to do them myself.  I’m really hoping to get the job at SRC.  I think it would be really easy to learn and progress in the beginning, and when I’m ready, I’ll make the move to self-employment.

The biggest goal is to stay debt-free forever.  This will probably not be very difficult – as long as I make smart decisions my whole life.  Ah yeah, it’ll be CAKE.  DAYUM!

For the sake of my fun-dom.

JBT is a fan of many things.  Mostly, hacking.  The unfortunate thing about it is that most of my great ideas are just that – ideaz.  I want to produce.  I want to see some manifestations of my intellect.  Yeah, enough smart-talk – here’s what I mean:

The current number one on my to-do list – and this list changes often – is some sort of amazing iPod integration in my car.  Yes, I already have a mount, and I’ve got some crystal clear line-level out audio going to my wonderful Alpine CDA-7892 head unit; however, I want something more.  You might be wondering, “Is JBT/cbte talking about audio quality, options, or aesthetics?  I’m talking about all of them.  Let’s just keep it simple though.
